Toledo cuerda seca tile
Rare cuerda seca tile made in Toledo between 1500 and 1525. There are two of these tiles in the collection of the V&A museum in London, one pictured in: Spanish Pottery by A. Ray, picture 733. Tile is not in good condition, wear to glaze and sides. Backside cut to all four sides, which is usually the case for these early spanish tiles. Including wooden frame. Provenance: old collection Barcelona.
